Microneedling vs Mesotherapy vs PRP: What's the Difference?
*numbing cream is always available
I'm Microneedling, mesotherapy and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) are three different approaches to skin regeneration and rejuvenation. Although they can sometimes be combined, they work in very different ways. This guide explains how each treatment works, what it can be used for, the differences between them and how to decide which approach may be most appropriate for your skin.

What is Microneedling?
Microneedling is collagen induction therapy, it stimulates collagen and elastin production, creating a smoother, firmer, more even skin tone. It can also reduce pigmentation, rosacea, scarring and wrinkles.
How does microneedling work?
A device called a 'Dermapen' is used to create thousands of tiny micro-injuries in the skin via a sterile, disposable needle head.
It is systematically worked over the skin and modified to suit specific skin conditions. The micro-injuries created, trigger the skin's own healing response to wound healing... which is the production of collagen and elastin.
Combining the physical action of microneedling with PRP (platelet rich plasma) and/or bespoke sterile serums, will treat specific skin conditions and significantly increase desired results.
Basically, its the skin smoother
* Consider the latest technology 'BioSpicule Microneedling'
Creating million of safe and even more effective micro injuries, with no blood or downtime.

What is
Platelet Rich Plasma ?
What does PRP do?
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is the hardest working factor in collagen production.
Platelet derived growth factors stimulate fibroblasts into making collagen and elastin fibres. These fibres are supporting structures that give skin its firmness and tightness, but they deplete as we age.
How do you get PRP?
10mls is gently extracted from your arm and put in a centrifuge to separate the plasma and platelets from the red blood cells.
The PRP is then either microneedled directly into the skin or mixed with bespoke meso-serums.
PRP is also very effective at stimulating scalp hair follicle growth.
Basically, it regenerates collagen - optimising skin health.
* Consider also, Polynucleotides. This regenerative technology works similar to PRP.

What is Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is a general term of an injecting technique, where many tiny injections are made just under the epidermis, feeding your skin from within.
A bespoke cocktail of sterile nutrients is delivered directly into the dermis, which enhances the health of growing skin cells.
This is done systematically with the finest of needles and numbing cream makes the process painless.
Mesotherapy instantly improves dull and dehydrated skin, it can also firm, improve circulation and aid in flushing out toxins.
Meso-serums contain combinations of vitamins, minerals and other components naturally found in the skin, such as Hyaluronic acid that diminishes with age. They can be specifically tailored to target hyperpigmentation, acne and even stimulate hair follicle growth.
The new DermaShine automated meso injector is a new painless, precise, perfected method of injecting in the Meso technique.
Basically, a comprehensive method of delivering hydration and nutrients into the skin.
* Consider Hydrating treatments - BabyGlow and Skinvive , which are best delivered in this method
or Skin Bio-Revitalising NCTF and Toskani Prescription sterile serums - for a skin specific optimisation.
