  • Everything You Need to Know About Under-Eye Fat Transfer

Aging gracefully while maintaining a fresh, youthful appearance is a priority for many women navigating middle age, menopause, and busy lives. Among the challenges, the delicate under-eye area often reveals early signs of aging such as hollowness and fine laxity. Understanding the truth about under-eye fat and available skin treatments can empower you to make informed choices for natural rejuvenation. The Delicacy of Under-Eye Skin and the Importance of Expert Care The skin beneath the eyes is extraordinarily thin , less than a third of a millimeter , resembling tissue paper in fragility. This makes any treatment here particularly complex. Standard fat transfer techniques used elsewhere on the body cannot be applied under the eye, as excessive or imprecise fat placement may cause lumps, puffiness, or an unnatural look. Experienced experts use specialized, fine instruments to harvest and transfer fat with precision, depositing it deeply near the bone’s surface to restore youthful volume subtly. This meticulous method avoids visible irregularities and helps the transferred fat integrate naturally. In ideal candidates, approximately 50 to 60 percent of the transferred fat survives for many years, offering a long-lasting, living enhancement rather than a temporary filler effect. Navigating Skin Tightening and Collagen Regeneration Options Beyond fat transfer, non-surgical skin tightening treatments such as Endolift and FaceTite employ radiofrequency energy beneath the skin to reduce fat and contract tissue. However, these procedures involve a degree of invasiveness and may result in significant swelling and scar tissue formation, potentially complicating future surgeries and producing modest tightening results. For substantial loose skin, a mini facelift often yields more predictable, refined outcomes with fewer risks. In contrast, modern collagen stimulators like Juläine and Juvelook represent a gentler, strategic approach to skin rejuvenation. Juläine utilizes perfected PDLLA molecules, requiring a series of treatments to stimulate natural type one collagen deeply, resulting in skin tightening, lifting, hydration, and enhanced radiance over time. Juvelook, also PDLLA-based, is designed to improve delicate skin texture and laxity around the under-eye and mid-face without the artificial fullness associated with fillers. Babyglow by Teoxane complements these treatments by providing targeted hyaluronic acid hydration that lifts and illuminates the skin through strategic injection points. Combining Treatments for a Comprehensive Approach Integrating these therapies can offer a tailored, holistic strategy for preserving and enhancing skin health. A subtle under-eye fat transfer restores foundational volume loss, while collagen stimulators reinforce skin integrity and elasticity. Hydrating treatments like Babyglow amplify luminosity and softness. However, each intervention should be personalized by a skilled professional who understands facial anatomy and the potential interactions between treatments.

For affluent women aged 35 to 65, and others seeking to preserve their natural radiance, targeted skin treatments play a vital role in enhancing skin health without compromising authenticity. Understanding Your Skin’s Needs As we age, the skin naturally experiences a decline in collagen production, reduced hydration, and slower regeneration. These processes contribute to the appearance of fine lines, loss of firmness, and dullness. Addressing these concerns requires a multi-faceted approach tailored specifically to individual skin characteristics and lifestyle demands. An Aesthetic and Skin Care Consultation serves as a critical first step, offering a thorough analysis and bespoke plan that ensures optimal outcomes aligned with your unique skin profile. Collagen Stimulation for Natural Lifting and Firmness Collagen is the structural protein fundamental to skin’s strength and elasticity. Treatments that stimulate collagen can effectively rebuild skin’s density and volume, promoting a natural lift and smoothing effect. Among the options, Juläine stands out as an advanced, safe PDLLA-based treatment. Delivered gently beneath the surface over three monthly sessions, Juläine fosters long-lasting collagen type one regeneration. • Skinvive by Juvéderm: What It Is, What It Does and Who It Is For

There are so many injectable treatments available now that it can be difficult to understand which one is actually going to make a difference to your skin. One treatment I particularly like for improving skin quality is Skinvive by Juvéderm. Skinvive is a little different from traditional dermal filler. It isn't about adding volume, changing the shape of your face or creating more definition. Instead, it is designed to improve the quality of the skin itself. For me, one of the biggest attractions of Skinvive is the way it can give the skin a healthier, more hydrated and noticeably more luminous appearance, without changing your facial features. And importantly, the results from one treatment can last for up to 9 months, making it an appealing option for someone who wants a relatively simple treatment with long-lasting improvement in skin quality. Before and after Skinvive by Juvéderm treatment What Is Skinvive by Juvéderm? Skinvive is an injectable hyaluronic acid treatment from the Juvéderm range. Hyaluronic acid naturally occurs in our skin and has an important role in maintaining hydration because it attracts and holds water. Skinvive is not designed to act like a conventional dermal filler. It is injected superficially into the skin, where it helps to improve hydration and the overall quality and smoothness of the skin. I would describe it as a skin-quality treatment rather than a volume treatment. This makes it particularly interesting for people who feel that their skin has lost some of its freshness and luminosity, but who don't necessarily need or want additional facial volume. What Can Skinvive Do for Your Skin? The thing patients often notice is that their skin simply looks better. It can help improve: Skin hydration Smoothness Fine lines Skin texture Radiance Luminosity The overall healthy appearance of the skin The result isn't supposed to be a dramatic change to your face. In fact, that's one of the reasons I like this type of treatment. You should still look like yourself. The difference is that your skin can look fresher, smoother and more luminous. For some patients, it is that subtle improvement that makes them feel more confident. The Luminosity Effect One of the benefits I particularly like about Skinvive is the improvement in skin luminosity. As we get older, our skin can gradually lose that natural light-reflecting quality. It can become duller, drier and less smooth. This isn't always something that can be corrected simply by applying another moisturiser. Skinvive works within the skin to improve hydration, which can give the complexion a fresher, more luminous appearance. It isn't about creating an artificial shine. It is more about bringing back that healthy-looking glow that well-hydrated skin naturally has. Skinvive Doesn't Add Facial Volume This is an important distinction. If you are worried about looking overfilled or changing the shape of your face, Skinvive may be an option worth considering. Unlike traditional dermal fillers, it isn't being used to build up the cheeks, lips, chin or jawline. Instead, the treatment is aimed at improving the skin itself. That means you can improve the appearance of your skin without changing your facial proportions. Of course, if your main concern is volume loss, Skinvive isn't going to replace a treatment specifically designed to restore volume. This is why an individual assessment is so important. How Is Skinvive Treatment Performed? Skinvive is administered using a series of small injections placed superficially into the skin. Before treatment, I will assess your skin and discuss exactly what you are hoping to improve. I use num, bing cream! The treatment itself is relatively quick, although I never like to rush the preparation or consultation. You may experience some temporary redness, swelling, small bumps or bruising afterwards. These usually settle, although everyone's response is different. I will always explain what to expect and give you appropriate aftercare advice. How Long Does Skinvive Last? This is another reason Skinvive appeals to many of my patients. The results from one treatment can last for up to 9 months. Of course, this is not a guarantee that every individual will experience exactly nine months of results. Everyone's skin, lifestyle and response to treatment are different. But the fact that one treatment can provide an improvement in skin hydration, smoothness and luminosity for up to nine months makes it a very attractive option. I would much rather be realistic about what a treatment can achieve than promise that everyone will have exactly the same result. Who Is Skinvive Suitable For? Skinvive may be particularly suitable if you are noticing that your skin is: Looking dull or tired Less hydrated than it used to be Lacking luminosity Rougher in texture Showing fine lines Looking less fresh and healthy Losing that youthful “glow” It can be a good choice for someone who wants better skin rather than a different face. It can also fit nicely into a wider skin-rejuvenation plan, depending on what else is happening with your skin. Skinvive vs Profhilo and Other Skin Boosters This is where things can become confusing because there are now so many injectable treatments marketed as skin boosters. Skinvive, Profhilo and other injectable skin treatments are not interchangeable. They have different formulations, different injection techniques and different treatment aims. For example, I might recommend Skinvive when the main concern is hydration, smoothness and luminosity. For another patient, particularly someone with more obvious skin laxity or changes in tissue quality, I might consider Profhilo or another collagen-stimulating treatment. And for somebody else, a completely different approach may be more appropriate. There isn't one injectable treatment that is best for everybody. Why I Like a Personalised Approach One of the things I have learned over the years is that treating the skin properly means looking beyond the treatment menu. A patient might come into the clinic and say, “I want Skinvive,” but my job is to make sure it is actually appropriate for them. I want to know what bothers you about your skin. Is it dryness? Dullness? Fine lines? Loss of luminosity? Texture? Or are you actually noticing a loss of volume or laxity? Those are very different concerns and they may need very different treatments. Sometimes Skinvive will be exactly what I recommend. Sometimes another treatment will give you a better result. And occasionally, the best advice may be to do nothing at all. Is Skinvive Right for You? If you are looking for a treatment that can improve hydration, smoothness and luminosity without adding facial volume, Skinvive is certainly worth considering. I particularly like it for patients who want a subtle improvement rather than a dramatic transformation. The skin can look fresher, healthier and more luminous, while your facial features remain completely your own. And with results that can last up to 9 months from one treatment, it offers a convenient option for maintaining beautiful skin without having to constantly repeat treatments. At Montclaire Aesthetics in Barnes, I can assess your skin and talk you through whether Skinvive is the right choice for you — or whether another treatment would be more appropriate. Good aesthetics isn't about changing your face. Sometimes it's simply about giving your skin back some of the hydration, smoothness and luminosity it has lost.

  • Profhilo vs Skin Boosters: Which Treatment Is Actually Right for Your Skin?

One of the questions I am asked regularly is: “What is the difference between Profhilo and a skin booster?” It is a perfectly reasonable question because, at first glance, they can sound very similar. Both are injectable treatments. Both contain hyaluronic acid. Both can improve hydration and skin quality. But they are not the same thing, and I don't think Profhilo is automatically the best choice simply because it is probably the most well-known name. The right treatment depends on what your skin actually needs. Some patients have very dehydrated skin but no real laxity. Others have good hydration but are beginning to lose firmness. Someone else may have thin, crepey skin and be a much better candidate for a different type of skin remodelling treatment altogether. This is why I don't like to recommend injectable treatments based on a simple "one-size-fits-all" formula. Profhilo is a hydrating skin booster that remodels skin over time What Is Profhilo? Profhilo is a hyaluronic acid treatment, but it isn't a traditional dermal filler and I wouldn't really describe it as a conventional skin booster either. It is designed to spread within the tissue and act as a bio-remodelling treatment. Profhilo contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid and is used to improve hydration, but its real strength is its ability to stimulate the skin's own collagen and elastin production. This makes it particularly useful for people who are starting to notice: Skin laxity A loss of firmness Crepey or thinning skin Dehydrated skin that has lost some of its bounce The early signs of facial ageing It is commonly used on the face and neck, but it can also be an excellent treatment for the hands and other areas where the skin is becoming thin or lax. What I like about Profhilo is that it is not trying to change the shape of your face. It is about improving the quality of the tissue itself. So, What Is a Skin Booster? The term skin booster covers a much wider range of products. Most are injectable hyaluronic acid treatments, although different products can contain very different concentrations and may also include ingredients designed to support hydration, collagen production or skin regeneration. In general, skin boosters are particularly useful when the main problem is skin hydration and quality. For example: Dehydration Fine lines Dull or lacklustre skin Rough skin texture Poor skin elasticity Skin that simply looks tired Depending on the product, they can be injected superficially in small amounts across the treatment area or placed at different depths. A good skin booster can make the skin look healthier and more hydrated. But this is where it is important to understand that not all skin boosters are equal. Some are designed primarily for hydration. Some are more long-lasting. Others are more focused on collagen stimulation and tissue quality. This is why I choose the product according to the patient's skin rather than simply offering everyone the same treatment. Profhilo vs Skin Boosters: The Main Difference If I were explaining it simply to a patient, I would say this: Profhilo is often more useful when we are concerned about skin laxity and tissue quality. A skin booster may be more useful when the main concern is hydration, texture and fine lines. Of course, there is some overlap. Profhilo improves hydration, and many skin boosters can improve elasticity. But the treatment should match the problem. If your main concern is... A treatment that may be considered Dry, dehydrated skin Profhilo or another hydrating skin booster Fine lines and rough texture A skin booster or combination approach Dull or tired-looking skin Profhilo/skin booster or combination approach Early skin laxity Profhilo Loss of skin elasticity Skin Regeneration or Collagen-stimulating treatment Thin, crepey skin Depends on the area and underlying skin quality Volume loss Dermal filler or Collagen Regeneration This is exactly why a consultation matters. The product should fit the problem rather than the other way around. How Is Profhilo Actually Injected? My personal preference for distribution and minimal downtime (no bumps or bruises), is by cannula. This method gently spreads the product in strategic areas underneath the skin with minimal entry points. Usually Profhilo is injected into specific points rather than being placed as lots of tiny injections throughout the skin. It then spreads within the tissue. A standard initial course is commonly two treatments approximately one month apart, although I always assess the individual rather than assuming every patient needs exactly the same protocol. Results are not usually immediate in the way that dermal filler results can be. The skin changes gradually as hydration improves and the biological processes involved in collagen and elastin production are stimulated. For this reason, I always tell patients that Profhilo is not a treatment to have the day before an important event and expect an instant transformation. Is Profhilo Better Than a Skin Booster? Not necessarily. And this is where I think some of the marketing around aesthetic treatments can become confusing. Profhilo is an excellent treatment for the right person. But I wouldn't automatically choose it for everyone. If somebody has very dehydrated skin with lots of fine lines, a particular skin booster may give them a better result. If someone has significant volume loss, Profhilo is unlikely to address that problem on its own. If somebody has more advanced skin laxity, we may need to consider a combination approach rather than expecting one injectable treatment to do everything. I am a great believer in using the right treatment for the right reason. Sometimes that means Profhilo. Sometimes it means a skin booster. Sometimes it means microneedling, radiofrequency, a collagen-stimulating treatment or a combination of treatments over time. Is There a Downside to Profhilo? As with any injectable treatment, Profhilo can cause temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising at the injection sites. You will also usually have small visible bumps immediately after treatment. This is normal and they should settle as the product disperses. The more important consideration is whether the treatment is appropriate for you. Profhilo should not simply be injected because it is popular or because someone else has had it. Your medical history, skin condition, previous treatments and individual concerns all need to be considered first. And despite containing hyaluronic acid, Profhilo is not a dermal filler. If your goal is to replace lost facial volume, improve facial contour or create structural support, we may need to discuss completely different options. My Approach to Profhilo and Skin Boosters I have a range of injectable skin treatments available because different skins need different things. During a consultation, I look at the skin itself, but I also consider what is happening underneath it. Is the issue dehydration? Is the skin becoming thinner? Is there genuine skin laxity? Is there volume loss that is making the skin appear loose? Are fine lines being caused by dehydration, movement, loss of collagen or a combination of several factors? The answer is not always as obvious as it might seem. This is why I don't like the idea of someone coming into a clinic and simply choosing a treatment from a list without a proper assessment. The best results are often achieved by understanding why the skin looks the way it does and then treating the underlying issue where possible. Which Is Right for You? If you are trying to decide between Profhilo and a skin booster, the most useful thing you can do is have a proper consultation. You don't need to know which product you want before you come to see me. In fact, I would much rather you told me what you are noticing and what you would like to improve. I can then assess your skin and explain the different options available to you. My job is not to persuade you to have the most expensive treatment or the treatment that happens to be trending. It is to give you an honest opinion about what I think will give you the best result. The aim is always healthier, better-quality skin and natural results that still look like you.

  • Montclaire Aesthetics: A Personal, Ethical Approach to Aesthetic Treatments in London

When you're looking for an aesthetic practitioner, you are trusting someone with your face, your appearance and, very often, your confidence. I don't think that is something that should ever be taken lightly. At Montclaire Aesthetics in Barnes, London, my approach has always been to take the time to understand the individual in front of me. I don't believe in simply selling a treatment because someone has asked for it. I believe in looking at your concerns, your facial structure, your skin, your lifestyle and, most importantly, what you genuinely hope to achieve. After more than 30 years of accumulated experience in surgery, healthcare and aesthetics, I have learned that the best aesthetic treatments are rarely about making dramatic changes. Very often, they are about helping someone look fresher, less tired or simply more like themselves again. Aesthetic consultation at Montclaire Aesthetic. Aesthetic Treatments Should Be Personal There is no such thing as one treatment that suits everybody. Two people can come to me with exactly the same concern, for example, lines around the mouth, loss of facial volume or tired-looking skin, but need completely different approaches. That is why a proper consultation is so important. At Montclaire Aesthetics, I offer a wide range of treatments, including: Dermal fillers Anti-wrinkle treatments Skin boosters Polynucleotides Collagen-stimulating treatments Mesotherapy Microneedling Radiofrequency microneedling HIFU skin tightening Chemical peels LED therapy Non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatments The treatment itself is only part of the process. The real value comes from understanding which treatment or sometimes which combination of treatments, is appropriate for you. Sometimes, the best advice I can give is not to have a treatment at all. How Do You Find a Good Aesthetic Practitioner in the UK? Aesthetics can be confusing, particularly when social media is full of dramatic before-and-after photographs and heavily marketed products.. My advice is to look beyond Instagram. Ask about qualifications and experience. Look at the practitioner's approach to consultation and whether they take time to discuss your concerns properly. You should feel able to ask questions and never feel pressured into having a treatment. A good aesthetic practitioner should be happy to discuss: What a treatment can realistically achieve What it cannot achieve Possible risks and side effects Alternative treatments Whether treatment is appropriate for you at all A consultation should never feel like a sales pitch. At Montclaire Aesthetics, I offer a detailed 45-minute consultation, allowing time to discuss your concerns properly, assess your skin and facial features, and create a realistic plan. The consultation fee can be redeemed against treatment. Why I Believe Natural Results Are So Important One of the things I care most about is making sure that treatments don't make people look like somebody else. Aesthetic medicine can enhance your features beautifully, but it needs to be approached with restraint and respect for the individual. Sometimes less really is more. My aim is not to create a standardised version of beauty. It is to help each person feel more confident in their own face. That may mean restoring strategic lost volume rather than adding unnecessary volume elsewhere. It may mean improving skin quality rather than using filler. It may mean combining treatments gradually over time rather than trying to achieve everything in one appointment. Good aesthetic treatment should be considered, planned and tailored to the individual. Why Clients Choose Montclaire Aesthetics I think my approach is a little different because I don't work from a one-size-fits-all menu. I take the time to look at the whole person and build a treatment plan around their concerns and priorities. Some clients come to me knowing exactly what treatment they want. Others simply know that they don't like what they see in the mirror but aren't sure why. That is where experience and consultation become important. I look at factors such as: Skin quality Facial structure Volume loss Skin laxity Facial balance The ageing process Previous treatments Your own personal aesthetic goals From there, we can decide what is appropriate and whether now is the right time to do anything at all. My priority has always been to provide a professional, honest and ethical service where clients feel comfortable, informed and never pressured. A Calm, Personal Approach to Aesthetics in Barnes Montclaire Aesthetics is based in Barnes, London, and I want the experience to feel personal from the moment you arrive. Aesthetic treatment should not feel rushed. You should have the opportunity to ask questions, understand what is being recommended and make a decision that feels right for you. Whether you are interested in improving your skin, restoring volume, softening lines or simply finding out what treatments might be suitable for you, the first step is often a conversation. You do not need to know exactly what you need before you come to me. That is what a proper consultation is for. My role is to listen, assess and give you honest advice based on your individual needs. The Goal Is to Help You Feel Like Yourself For me, aesthetic treatments are about confidence. Sometimes the smallest changes can make the biggest difference to how someone feels. Fresher skin, a little more facial support or simply knowing that you are taking care of yourself can have a genuine impact. At Montclaire Aesthetics, my aim is always to help you achieve results that look considered, natural and appropriate for you. If you are looking for an experienced, medically led and ethical approach to aesthetic treatments in Barnes and London, I would be very happy to welcome you for a consultation in my CQC registered clinic. • What Is Bio Spicule Microneedling? A Needle-Free Approach to Skin Renewal

Biospicule miceroneedlimg and peel treatment for glowing exfoliated skin Bio spicule microneedling is a needle-free skin treatment that uses microscopic, naturally derived spicules to stimulate collagen, refine texture, and improve overall skin quality, without the downtime of traditional microneedling. Often described as “microneedling without needles”, it works by triggering your skin’s natural repair response in a more gradual, controlled way. How Does Bio Spicule Microneedling Work? Instead of mechanical needles, this treatment uses tiny silica-based spicules (derived from marine or freshwater sponges). When applied to the skin: They create thousands of micro-channels Trigger collagen and elastin production Accelerate cell turnover Enhance penetration of active ingredients Unlike traditional microneedling, the stimulation continues for 24–72 hours, as the spicules remain active within the skin. This creates a more progressive, layered improvement, rather than a single inflammatory event. What Are the Benefits of Bio Spicule Microneedling? This treatment is best known for improving skin quality rather than structure. It can help with: Fine lines and early wrinkles Dull, uneven skin tone Enlarged pores Congestion and mild acne Overall skin clarity and radiance The result is smoother, brighter, more refined skin—with minimal disruption to your routine. Bio Spicule vs Traditional Microneedling: What’s the Difference? There’s a clear distinction—and it matters. Bio Spicule Microneedling No needles Minimal downtime Works more superficially Focused on glow, texture, and refinement RF Microneedling (clinical treatment) Uses controlled heat + needles Targets deeper layers of skin Stimulates stronger collagen remodelling More effective for laxity and deeper lines 👉 If your concern is skin quality and radiance, bio spicules can be a good option.👉 If your concern is firmness, sagging, or structural ageing, treatments like RF microneedling will give significantly stronger results. Is Bio Spicule Microneedling an Alternative to Botox? Not directly—but it sits in the same conversation. While Botox works by relaxing muscles to soften expression lines, bio spicule microneedling works by improving the skin itself. It can: Soften very fine lines Improve skin smoothness Enhance overall skin quality But it won’t replace Botox for: Forehead lines Frown lines Crow’s feet A more comparable alternative would be injectable collagen-stimulating treatments, which gradually rebuild the skin’s structure over time. What Does It Feel Like? Most patients describe: A prickly, tingling sensation Mild discomfort rather than pain A textured feeling that can last 24–48 hours This is part of the ongoing stimulation process, as the skin regenerates. Downtime and Recovery One of its biggest advantages is how little it disrupts your life. You may experience: Mild redness Slight roughness or dryness Light peeling Most people return to normal activities immediately, with skin looking brighter and more refined within days. Who Is It Best For? Bio spicule microneedling is ideal if you: Don't want any chemical additives Want low-downtime skin improvement Are early in your skin ageing journey Prefer natural, gradual results Are nervous about needles It works particularly well as part of a long-term skin optimisation plan. Where It Fits in a Smarter Skin Strategy Bio spicule microneedling is not a replacement for more advanced treatments—it’s a supporting treatment. Think of it as: Skin refinement → Bio spicules Hydration & glow → Skin boosters (e.g. Profhilo, Skinvive) Collagen rebuilding → Injectable biostimulators Lift & tightening → RF microneedling or HIFU When layered correctly, results become:more natural, longer-lasting, and significantly more noticeable The Bottom Line Bio spicule microneedling is a clever, low-intervention way to improve skin quality. It won’t lift, volumise, or dramatically tighten the skin—but that’s not its role. It’s about: Refining Strengthening Enhancing For the right patient, it’s not about doing more. It’s about doing things more intelligently, and in the right order. Find out more about Biospicule Microneedling Considering Skin Treatments in Barnes, London? • Juläine vs Sculptra vs Lenisna

What Are The Best Injectables To Stimulate Your Own Natural Collagen? Collagen stimulators represent one of the most significant advances in modern aesthetic medicine. Rather than simply replacing lost volume, treatments such as Sculptra, Juläine, and Lenisna encourage your body to produce new collagen. This process helps improve skin quality, firmness, elasticity, and facial support over time. While these treatments share the same goal of natural-looking regeneration, they differ in their technology, versatility, and clinical history. Lenisna treatment before and after Similarities All are injectable collagen stimulators designed to regenerate your own collagen. They improve skin quality, elasticity, and facial support over time. Results develop gradually over several months. High patient satisfaction rates are common. Results often last 18–24 months or longer. Sculptra (PLLA) Sculptra is the original collagen stimulator, boasting over 20 years of clinical data. It has an excellent long-term safety record. This treatment is best suited for the temples, cheeks, and jawline. After treatment, a post-treatment massage is required (5 minutes, 5 times daily, for 5 days). Sculptra is not typically used around the eyes, mouth, forehead, or lips. It has a strong evidence base and extensive clinical experience. Juläine (Advanced PLLA) Juläine is a newer generation PLLA collagen stimulator. It is designed to improve particle consistency and tissue integration. This treatment focuses on collagen regeneration with a more controlled response. While it has less long-term clinical data than Sculptra, it is gaining interest among practitioners seeking next-generation collagen stimulators. Juläine is primarily suited for facial structural rejuvenation. Lenisna (PDLLA + Hyaluronic Acid) Lenisna combines collagen stimulation with improvements in skin quality. Its uniform particle structure is associated with a very low risk of nodules. No formal massage protocol is required, making it suitable for a wider range of facial treatment areas. Lenisna is particularly effective for enhancing skin quality, elasticity, and addressing early facial ageing. It reflects the newer Korean regenerative medicine approach. My Clinical Perspective From my experience, Sculptra remains an excellent and trusted treatment. Juläine is an exciting development within the PLLA category, offering innovative solutions. Lenisna provides exceptional versatility and skin quality benefits alongside collagen stimulation. The choice of treatment should depend on facial anatomy, treatment goals, skin quality, and practitioner experience rather than marketing claims alone. Who Gets The Best Results? Patients with declining skin quality and collagen loss: I find Lenisna to be safe and effective. It significantly improves skin condition and can volumise areas when required. Menopausal women experiencing accelerated collagen depletion: Depending on individual structure and skin integrity, any of these treatments could be suitable. Patients seeking natural, gradual rejuvenation rather than obvious volume: Juläine is the skin perfector for this need. Those prepared to maintain healthy lifestyle habits that support collagen production: Juläine can be particularly beneficial. Factors That Accelerate Collagen Loss Several factors can accelerate collagen loss, including: Menopause and declining oestrogen levels. Excessive sun exposure. Smoking. High sugar intake. Excessive alcohol consumption. Chronic inflammation and poor nutrition. The Future Of Aesthetics The aesthetic field is moving away from simply replacing volume. Instead, the focus is shifting towards regenerating healthier tissue. This approach supports Type I and Type III collagen production, improving skin quality, resilience, and facial structure from within. Which Treatment Is Right For You? While understanding the differences between Sculptra, Juläine, and Lenisna is important, the most appropriate treatment is not determined by the product alone. Factors such as your age, skin quality, facial anatomy, lifestyle, and long-term goals all influence which regenerative treatment is likely to achieve the best result. At Montclaire Aesthetics, every treatment plan is individually tailored following a comprehensive consultation and facial assessment. With over 30 years of medical experience and a particular interest in regenerative and collagen-stimulating treatments, Samantha focuses on achieving natural, balanced, and long-lasting results that enhance skin quality and support healthy ageing.
