What is Baby Botox?
It’s not a brand, it’s a technique: micro-dosing toxin across key muscles to reduce lines while preserving expression.
Expect lighter, more mobile results vs traditional dosing.
Think Nicole Kidman - photos at the bottom.
Who is it good for?
First-timers who fear looking “overdone”.
Early lines (forehead, frown, crow’s feet) where wrinkles appear only when you animate.
Younger patients (often 20s–30s) wanting prevention rather than correction - but don't get me started on "prevention"!
Professionals who need micro-expression (I have patients who are actors, speakers and counsellors that need to show expression - think Nicole Kidman).
Brows that feel heavy with standard doses, micro-dosing keeps lift and lightness.
Men seeking subtlety without the “I’ve had Botox” look.
When it’s not the best choice
Deep static lines (present at rest): micro-doses won’t erase them. You’ll need a full corrective plan (toxin + skin boosters/polynucleotides/microneedling; sometimes filler).
Very strong frown complex: micro-doses may wear off fast or feel underwhelming.
Heavy eyelids/ptosis risk: dosing must be customised or redirected (this is when your injector's experience matters!)
Pregnancy/breastfeeding, under 18s or neuromuscular disorders: not suitable, but I will have other recommendations for you
Where baby Botox works well
Forehead: smooth without “shiny/frozen”.
Glabella (11s): soften anger lines yet keep focus.
Crow’s feet: lighten crinkling while keeping a real smile.
Brow shape: micro-doses can refine lift rather than flatten.
Bunny lines / chin dimpling: tiny tweaks, big polish.
Smoker's Lines: Botox sprinkles above the lip soften those lines
How it feels and how long it lasts
Treatment time: 30 mins.
Onset: 3–5 days; peak at 2 weeks.
Longevity: typically 8–12 weeks for baby Botox (lighter doses = shorter duration). If you need 12–16+ weeks, we’ll discuss standard dosing or hybrid plans.
Baby Botox vs “preventative Botox” vs “micro-Botox”
Baby Botox: smaller doses to soften movement.
Preventative: treating earlier to stop lines fixing in. Overlaps with baby Botox but guided by timing, not just dose.
Micro-Botox/Meso-Botox: ultra-superficial micro-droplets in the skin (not muscle) to refine texture/pores/glow—different technique and indications.
Results you can expect
Natural softening, less scrunching on frown/smile.
You still look like you—just rested.
Friends notice freshness, not “work.”
I keep my forehead Baby Botoxed, to soften the deeper horizontal line without having the heaviness
Side effects & safety
I don't expect any bruising, but there is always a chance. I have invested in the finest needles and years of experience has perfected my technique. To further reduce the chance, please avoid strenuous exercise, caffeine, aspirin, Ibuprofen and alcohol on the day of treatment.
Rarely there can be asymmetry or unwanted heaviness. This can be tweaked 2 weeks later, message me if you have any concerns - I like perfection.
I am a CQC-accredited clinic, which means my treatments are nurse-led and prescription-only following a proper medical consultation.
When to schedule
Events: book 3–4 weeks before (allows tweak at 2-week review).
Maintenance: every 2–3 months for baby Botox; every 3–4 months if using standard/“hybrid” doses.
When I will recommend alternatives (or add-ons)
Static forehead/frown lines: toxin + polynucleotides or skin boosters.
Crepey lower face/neck: consider micro-Botox or RF microneedling/HIFU.
Texture & glow: polynucleotides, Juvelook, microneedling.
Bottom line
Choose baby Botox if you want movement with polish, subtle, preventative, and refreshingly undetectable. If lines are fixed at rest, I will map a corrective plan instead of under-treating you.
Book a consultation at Montclaire Aesthetics, Barnes SW13 (easy for Putney, Mortlake, Chiswick, East Sheen, Richmond). I will assess your medical history, animation, brow position and skin quality, then tailor dosing to your face and desires —not a template.
Mini-FAQ
